Elevator Pitch by Craig Furniss

This August the Essen Haus presents "Elevator Pitch" written by Craig Furniss. Sundays, August 7th & 21st make your reservations for 5:30 or 7:30. Call (608) 255-4674.
o    An elevator operator's mindless banter within the confined quarters of vertical transport with some of the city's most colorful residents. A day of ups and downs and where secrecy comes with a price!

o    SYNOPSIS: "Elevator Pitch" goes beyond the annoyance of people entering an elevator before people already in it have not left yet. Although knowing the 5 day forecast or the score of the Yankee game is beneficial as an elevator operator Zach Armstrong believes that the actions by the tenants are stronger than their words, and what happens in the elevator, stays in the elevator. Of course discretion does have its price. Residents’ true personalities surface in the reflection of the mirror in the short time span that it takes for an elevator ride. If a cunning tenant wants to get from the ground floor to view the Manhattan skyline they are going to have to go through Zach Armstrong! Refraining from getting too personal with the residents is appropriate operator etiquette, but Zach’s comical sense of humor and keeping "Mum’s the word", he gets the residents to dig deeper into their pockets.
